Sansevieria is a historically recognized genus of flowering plants, native to Africa, notably Madagascar, and southern Asia, now included in the genus Dracaena on the basis of molecular phylogenetic studies.

Sansevieria come in many size shapes and colors but their care is similar. Bright indirect light, temperatures between 60F- 80F and humidity above 30%. For watering you want to make sure the soil is thoroughly dried out before watering again. During the summer months plants can be watered more but its important to drastically reduce watering practices during the winter months or your sans will succumb to root rot.
